Welcome to Get Fit Fiona. I’m Heather and I live in Calgary, Canada. I’m a Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology Certified Personal Trainer, RYT 200 yoga teacher, and blogger. In 2015 I went back to school to earn a two year diploma in personal training at Mount Royal University in Calgary. In June of 2017 I graduated as a CSEP CPT. In March 2019 I graduated from a 200 hour yoga teacher program at Passage Studios in Calgary.

I’m passionate about making fitness and living a healthy lifestyle easy and accessible – it doesn’t have to be complicated or time consuming. I started my fitness journey nearly 10 years ago. I had decided to make some healthy changes which included making healthier food choices and being more active. Since then I’ve lost a lot of weight, can’t imagine not going to the gym to work off stress, or going to yoga classes to be more present. I’m much more healthier now than I was back then, and I’m so grateful that I am.

I started Get Fit Fiona (I named it that because I didn’t want to use my real name) back in 2011 to share my healthy living journey. I had just discovered healthy living blogs and had felt like I’d found my community. I blog about fitness, what I’m eating, workouts, yoga, mindfulness, and balancing all those things with life.

You go girl!
Hello,
Congratulations on losing the weight you have so far.
That’s awesome!
Keep up the great work, clearly you’re going to get to where you want to be.
Take care and keep up the great work.
:-)
I’m excited to follow you on your journey! I love visiting the mountains too! They are so beautiful!
You have a great about page! I agree with the 80/20 thing and I read a lot.
Congratulations on your journey.
I was here to read about your favorite instructions (Peloton) but there is no place to comment. I looked at a few other posts and they are the same. Just letting you know in case that was not your intent (because you asked questions in the posts). Cheers.
Thanks for the heads up – I’ll look into that.
