In today’s post I’m sharing some of my favorite moisturizers.
I live in a very dry Calgary. It takes it’s toll on my skin, especially in the winter. From my face to my hands, I feel like I’m putting on moisturizer all the time when it’s particularly dry. Pair that with having sensitive skin that sometimes reacts to certain kinds of skincare, and I have to be picky about what I use. Below I’m sharing some of my favorite moisturizers that work for me.
I’ve included moisturizers that are both budget friendly and a bit more pricey. Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer and CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion are great options for sensitive skin. I haven’t had any problems what so ever with either of them. They’re also the two most budget friendly moisturizers on this list. They also do a great job. CeraVe was a brand that was recommended to my by a doctor because it’s so gentle on sensitive skin.
The Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins and Philosophy’s Hope in a Jar are both splurges for me. I’ve found that Hope in a Jar isn’t quite as moisturizing as I would like during the winter months. I would recommend going with one of the other options if you’re looking for something extra hydrating. It’s perfect for summer though when I don’t want anything too heavy. The Origins Night-A-Mins smells amazing! It feels pretty luxurious to put it on in the morning and before bed because it smells so good.

Aveeno Daily Moisturizer | Tarte Maracuja Oil | CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion
I first tried Tarte’s Maracuja Oil a few years ago. I was a bit skeptical that I could apply a facial oil daily and not break out a ton. I was pleasantly surprised though when it provided me with heavy duty hydration without any of the skin imperfections. If you’re on the fence about trying out an oil, I highly recommend you give it a go. It’s my go to when parts of my face are feeling super dry.
