I’m sharing a 30 minute cardio workout today. It’s perfect if you’re working out at home and short on time.

Good morning! The last two days we’ve been fortunate enough to have some great weather. It’s been nice and warm, the snow is “slowly) melting, and I’ve officially worn my spring jacket instead of my winter one a few times now. There’s something that feels so good about letting go of all the layers that are required for winter weather. I’ve even been able to crack my window open a few times to let in some fresh air. I’m so ready for spring!

It’s Wednesday so that means a workout post here on Get Fit Fiona. This one is just 30 minutes long so it’s great for when you’re in a time crunch. A workout doesn’t have to be long for it to “count”. Any kind of physical activity is good in my book.

The only piece of equipment you’ll need for this workout is a yoga mat if you’re working out on a hard surface. I like the Manduka Pro (affiliate link). Mine has gotten me through yoga teacher training and it still looks great. You can check out my review of the Manduka Pro yoga mat here. If you give this workout a try be sure to tag me on Instagram. I’d love to know how you liked it.

This 30 minute cardio workout is pretty straight forward. Start at the top of the list and perform each exercise for 30 seconds. Rest for 30 seconds before moving onto the next exercise on the list. Once you’ve completed all 10 exercises, Repeat from the top an additional 2 times for a 30 minute workout. I think the exercises are pretty common ones that people know, but if you have any questions about any of them, let me know in the comments and I can help you out.

  • Skaters
  • Mountain climbers
  • Side shuffles
  • Butt kicks
  • Bench hops
  • High knees
  • Punches
  • Jump squats
  • Skaters
  • Burpees

Obviously the above are just guidelines. You can always increase the rest periods between exercises, or take exercises out if they’re not right for you, or even just go through the list once or twice instead of three times. Do what’s best for you. I always like to have a quick workout that I can do at home for days when I’m tight on time or I just don’t feel like going anywhere to workout.

What’s your favorite cardio exercise to do?

As always, check with your doctor before beginning to workout. Honor your body and modify this workout for you.
