Today I’m sharing a pop workout playlist, including a link to it on Spotify.

The last few days in Calgary have been cold and snowy. It definitely feels like fall is over and winter has arrived. Combine the snow and cold temperatures with the earlier sunsets thanks to Daylight Saving time and it’s been a bit of an adjustment for me. Transitioning into the colder months is always a bit tough. It feels harder this year with the pandemic stress and anxiety on top of everything.

The longer nights have meant that I’ve been in bed earlier and spending more time reading. The other night I finished reading Endure (affiliate link) by Alex Hutchinson. It was so interesting to learn about the methods elite athletes are using to push their limits to get fast, quicker, and reduce their recovery time. The author also went into some of the research that’s been happening. While I think a lot of the methods he discussed in his book need more research, it’s so cool to hear about how the brain impacts our body. Alex competed as a runner for his university, so it was great to hear his experience and research came together. I highly recommend checking out Endure. Especially if you’re looking for a book about how we might be increasing our endurance in the coming years.

And now onto the workout playlist!

This playlist is all about the top 40 pop hits. A lot of what I added to the playlist is what I’m hearing on the radio. There’s so many good songs out there right now. Artists featured in this playlist include Jason Derulo, Ellie Goulding, The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, and Shawn Mendez. This workout playlist clocks in at just under 60 minutes, so it’ll cover most of the workouts that I do, and I’m willing to bet it’ll be the same for you too. If I’m not feeling all that motivated to get my workout started, sometimes all I need to get into the groove is a good playlist. I’m hoping that this will be that extra little bit of motivation for you too.

If you use Spotify, be sure to follow me over there, so you can find all of the workout playlists that I share. Here’s the link to this month’s workout playlist. As always, you can find all of the playlists that I’ve shared on the blog over the years on my workout playlists page.
