We’ve made it through another week! I hope you have some fun plans on the agenda this weekend. I’m looking forward to a weekend of nice weather. There’s no snow in the forecast and it’s going to be relatively warm. Are you doing anything fun for Halloween? I don’t think we are. Usually I give out candy or glow sticks but things are so different this year. We usually don’t get a lot of kids at our house so I think I may just skip it this year. Here are a few of my favorite things from the past week.
Cozy slippers
I had to get replacement slippers the other day. I opened the fridge the other day and a bunch of alcohol ended up falling out of the fridge. There was red wine, beer, and whiskey (all in glass bottles). Needless to say most of them broke when they hit the tile flooring. It took forever to clean up and involved sliding the fridge out to be able to clean underneath it. I was wearing my slippers at the time and they got soaked in red wine.
I ordered some new slippers (affiliate link) on Amazon and they arrived yesterday. They have memory foam inside so they’re super comfy. They’re also machine washable which I love. I can just toss them into the washing machine when they need a wash.
Floral notebooks
I’m all about the stationary, so when I saw these notebooks online I bought them. They’re from Studio Oh. They’re the perfect size and (8″x6″), so they fit perfectly in my tote while still giving me enough room to write on each page without feeling cramped.
As much as I love creating documents online or on my computer, sometimes I need to write things down with a pen and paper. When it comes to brainstorming blog topics or planning out what I want to include in a post, I’ll write them down.
Halloween tie for Winston
I got Winston a Halloween tie! It was a bit small to fit around his neck so I had to make the collar a bit longer (hello big Bulldog necks). I think he looks pretty cute in it. He usually goes to daycare on Fridays, and today they’re having a costume contest for all of the dogs, so my boyfriend is going to take the tie with them when they go. I might be a bit partial but I think Winston has a pretty good chance at winning.
I hope you all have a great Halloween weekend. It’s going to look different this year, but I hope you’re still able to enjoy yourself. I’ll probably end up watching a few scary movies this weekend on the couch. I’ve been watching The Haunting of Bly Manor on Netflix and I’ve really been enjoying it. If you’re looking for something creepy to watch I highly recommend it.
