Happy Monday! Another weekend is over and I’m looking forward to this week. Fall is my favorite season and it’s been feeling like fall here in Calgary. The mornings are crisp and the leaves have started to change color. It’s perfect sweater and vest weather. Does anyone else think of that sweater weather SNL skit? I love Maya Rudolph.

It shouldn’t be a surprise that I spent some time on Saturday taking in the gorgeous autumn weather by spending some time in the backyard this weekend. The afternoons were warm enough to be out there without any extra layers beyond a hoodie. It sometimes feels like we skip right from summer to winter here, so I’m enjoying every single fall like day we get!

I finished reading Big Summer (affiliate link) by Jennifer Weiner this weekend. I really like her books, and the last one I read by her was Mrs. Everything (affiliate link) which I think is my favorite. Big Summer was pretty good too and kept me intrigued trying to figure out who did the thing (I don’t want to give anything away just in case you’re going to read it!) I definitely had the wrong person doing it, so it kept me guessing. If you’re looking for a fun mystery to read be sure to check it out.

Sunday afternoon I headed downtown to spend some time with my boyfriend and his dog, Winston. We went for a walk which was the perfect way to spend some time together. Once again the weather was perfect. I’m really loving this J Crew vest that I bought on Poshmark. You can find a similar one here (affiliate link). I actually bought it back in July and was worried that I wouldn’t get to wear it all that often, but the weather has been cooperating and I’ve worn it a bunch. I paired it with a blue, green, and black plaid button down shirt and a pair of jeans. Below I’ve (affiliate) linked to some similar pieces in case you’re looking for a cozy fall outfit too.
