Today I’m sharing a boy band workout playlist. It’ll be sure to get you moving for your workout.
I hope you were all able to stay close to home this weekend. If you’re an essential working and had to go to work, thank you! You’re hard work right now, no matter what you’re doing, is very much appreciated. I didn’t leave the house except for a walk to two in my neighborhood. I’m so grateful for the paths in my community right now. There were a lot of other people out as well. Thankfully there was lots of room out on the pathways and we were able to stay away from each other and practice social distancing.
It’s finally starting to feel like spring here in Calgary, so I think there were more people out walking this weekend than last weekend. I have my fingers crossed that the snowbanks will melt soon and we won’t have much more snow until the fall. I’m so ready for warmer weather, sunshine, and green!
I thought I’d share an extra fun workout playlist today. This one features some of my favorite boy band songs from the 90’s to today. There were so many fun ones to choose from, I’m pretty sure I could have made this playlist a lot longer. I figured 55 minutes of music would do it for most workouts though.
I think boy bands were at their peak in the late 90’s/early 2000’s. Since I graduated high school in 2001, I was in junior high, high school, and the beginning of university at peak boy band time, so I was definitely their target market. New Kids on the Block were popular when I was a kid. Backstreet Boys were huge at my high school. I have memories of hearing Backstreet Boys songs at dances in both junior high and high school. I also made sure to add some “newer” boy bands to this playlist like Jonas Brothers and One Direction – I know not everyone is as old as I am and won’t appreciate the Backstreet Boys like I do. Does anyone else remember watching the reality TV show that followed the making of O-Town?
As always, you can find all of my workout playlists here. I like to keep workout playlists fresh so it’s a great resource to find some music that you may not have listened to in awhile. You can also follow me on Spotify, where all of my workout playlists are public.
