Happy Valentine’s Day! Whether or not you’re in a relationship I hope you’re able to enjoy the day and celebrate. Valentine’s Day isn’t usually a big deal for me, but this year I decided to make cookies for some of my favorite people – more on that below.

Since it’s Friday that means that I’ll be sharing a few of my favorite things from the past week. Read on to find out what made the list this time around.

Yoga teacher training

While I was only able to attend one session this weekend, it was the one about yoga philosophy. I really struggled with wrapping my head around it the first time around, and I’m so glad that I have the chance to audit the teacher training since I’ve graduated already.

We looked at the five koshas and spent most of the time diving into each one of them. I’ve so lucky that the teachers I get to learn from are so knowledgeable about yoga and have been in the yoga world for so long. They have so much to offer and are so willing to share their knowledge.

Bulldog cuddles

I stopped by my boyfriend’s place for a quick visit and to get some puppy cuddles in, and his bulldog Winston, made himself right at home by sitting in my lap.

He can get pretty picky sometimes about when he wants attention, but he definitely wanted to stay close on that day. I may have left covered in dog fur (black leggings are the worst for showing off dog fur), but it was worth it for all the dog cuddles I was able to get.

Valentine’s Day

I baked up some cookies for a few people for Valentine’s Day this year. I Decided to go with sugar cookies with frosting. I used this recipe from Martha Stewart, though I did change it up a bit by omitting the lemon zest and lemon juice.

I topped the cookies with cream cheese frosting (it’s my favorite) and some heart sprinkles and chocolate sprinkles. I think they turned out pretty cute.

I even made some dog treats for Winston. I used this recipe from Brown Eyed Baker. I’ve made it before for our dog back in the day and he loved them. There’s peanut butter in them so they smell great to dogs.

I found these super cute Valentine’s Day boxes to put the cookies and dog treats in.
