Season 3 of The Crown
I’m so excited to start watching the third season of The Crown this weekend! I really liked the first two seasons, so I’m hoping to like the latest one just as much.
They’ve changed quite a few of the actors for the third season, so it’ll be interested to see how that transition happens. I have a feeling that I’ll be spending more time that I’d like to admit on the couch this weekend watching.
The Mother In Law
I haven’t been able to put down The Mother=In-Law (affiliate link) by Sally Hepworth since I started reading it last week.

It drew me in from the first few chapters and now once I start reading I don’t want to stop. I only have 100 pages to go and I’m expecting to finish it tonight. I can’t wait to find out how it ends. If you’re looking for a quick but entertaining book to read, I highly recommend The Mother-In-Law (affiliate link).
Here’s the synopsis from Amazon:
From the moment Lucy met her husband’s mother, she knew she wasn’t the wife Diana had envisioned for her perfect son. Exquisitely polite, friendly, and always generous, Diana nonetheless kept Lucy at arm’s length despite her desperate attempts to win her over. And as a pillar in the community, an advocate for female refugees, and a woman happily married for decades, no one had a bad word to say about Diana…except Lucy.
That was five years ago.
Now, Diana is dead, a suicide note found near her body claiming that she longer wanted to live because of the cancer wreaking havoc inside her body.
But the autopsy finds no cancer.
It does find traces of poison, and evidence of suffocation.
Who could possibly want Diana dead? Why was her will changed at the eleventh hour to disinherit both of her children, and their spouses? And what does it mean that Lucy isn’t exactly sad she’s gone?
I’ve actually added Sally Hepworth’s other two books that my library has to my hold list so that I can read them.
Being another year older
My birthday was last week, and although it’s over for another year, I have to admit that I had a really great birthday this year. I got to celebrate with some of my favorite people, including family, my boyfriend, and lots of friends.
The older I get the more I realize that the most important things in life are spending time with people. I don’t need anything for my birthday and I’d much rather spend time and celebrate with people instead. So I’m very glad that this year was all about the people in my life instead of getting stuff.
As much fun as I had this year, I’m also kind of glad that I don’t have another birthday until next year.
