Happy Friday! The weekend is just about here and I’m pretty excited about it. I have plans to meet up with a really good friend this afternoon for coffee. We have one of those friendships where we can go months without seeing each other but are able to pick right back up where we left off.

Saturday I’ll be spending my day doing a first aid and CPR re-certification. It definitely won’t be the most exciting day sitting in a classroom, but it’ll be good for me to be reminded of all the things I need to know.

I’m planning to go to yoga teacher training on Sunday. The morning will be about yoga philosophy and the afternoon will focus on asanas, modifications, and the 8 limbs of yoga. I know I’m going to learn lots.

Because it’s Friday, here are some of my favorite things from the past week!

Sweet potato dog treats

Tuesday I spent a few hours chopping up and dehydrating a few sweet potatoes for my boyfriend’s dog. He absolutely loves them. They’re really easy to make and the hardest part is remembering to rotate them every hour to make sure that they dry evenly.

I sliced them pretty thin so that they wouldn’t take too long to dehydrate. They took about five hours which wasn’t too bad.

Avocado tacos

On Wednesday I was downtown not far from my boyfriend so we ended up getting together for lunch. We ended up at our usual spot, Vagabond. It was taco day so I ordered the avocado tacos.

They were big chunks of breaded and fried avocado with lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, and sour cream. They were so good! And in a weird kind of way reminded me of Japanese food – they had a tempura feel to them with the breading.

You are a Badass at Making Money

I started this book a few days ago and I’m really enjoying it so far. This is the second book by Jen Sincero that I’ve read. (You can find my thoughts on You Are a Badass here – it’s the last book I write about at the end of the post.)

I can relate to a lot of what Jen writes in the book. She shares lots of personal stories that I can see myself in. Sometimes books like this can get preachy, but this one doesn’t feel like that at all. If you’re looking for a book that will get you thinking about money differently, be sure to give You are a Badass at Making Money (affiliate link) a try.

What’s one thing that you’ve been enjoying this week? Tell me about it in the comments below.
