I love reading day in the life posts from other bloggers. Since it’s been awhile since I’ve done one of my own I figured it was about time I shared one myself.

5:30 am Get up and get to the gym
My alarm went off at 5:15 am, but after spending 15 minutes scrolling through social media and checking emails, I finally get out of bed. I look out the window to check on the snow situation and see that while there’s snow on the grass, it’s not sticking to the street yet. Woohoo!

I got myself dressed and when I opened the garage door I was met with this view. Honestly it wasn’t a lot of snow and it wasn’t really cold, but it was just hard to get myself to the gym. I’m in no way shape or form ready for winter!
6:15 am Arrive at the gym and workout
I drop off my gym bag and jacket in the change room and find an elliptical to start my steady state cardio workout.

The gym was actually pretty quiet – I think the snow scared some people off from heading to the gym before work. Thankfully the roads were fine, so I didn’t have to worry about that.
I spent 35 minutes on the elliptical and an additional 10 minutes on the track cooling down. I then headed back down to the change room to grab my stuff, bundle up again, and went home to shower.
7:30 am Shower and breakfast
I hopped in the shower as soon as I got home. It felt really good to get under the hot water after being sweaty and outside in the cold.
Once I was done getting dressed I made my breakfast. This time it was a protein smoothie. I combined water, a scoop of protein powder, frozen blueberries, and Greek yogurt in the blender. It’s such an easy and quick breakfast to make, it’s hard to go wrong with a smoothie.

8:15 am Work
I sit down at my computer with my smoothie and get down to work for the morning. I spend some time creating graphics for a couple workouts later this month as well as writing a few blog posts.

12:30 pm Lunch
I decide to break for lunch after a few hours to eat. I’m not sure what I feel like eating, so after looking in the fridge I finally decide on a veggie burger, coleslaw, and a spoonful of peanut butter.

12:45 pm Watch This Is Us on Netflix
I put on an episode from season 3 of This Is Us to watch while I ate lunch. Thankfully it wasn’t a sad episode (why are there so many of those?!?!), so I was able to enjoy it without being too sad.
1:30 pm Back to work
Once This Is Us was over I cleaned up from lunch and then got back to work. I spent some time mapping out a new yoga project I thought of over the weekend which I’m really excited about. More about that later.
I’m super productive and I end up powering through my do to list and getting more than I thought I would done. That doesn’t happen very often for me, but I’m pretty pumped when it does happen.
5:45 pm Make dinner
My brain is done working for the day so I head to the kitchen and help make some Instant Pot mac and cheese.

Usually mac and cheese is a pretty work intensive recipe (but always so good), so I’m excited that the recipe is super easy to make and tastes so good!
7 pm Netflix and social media
I put on a documentary on Netflix and end up scrolling through social media on my phone.
8 pm Reading
I spend some time reading Teaching Yoga (affiliate link) by Mark Stephens. I’ve been reading it in small chunks over the last few months. It’s so dense with information that I feel like I absorb it better when I take in little bits at a time.

I then switch over to reading American Duchess (affiliate link), which I’ve borrowed from my library. I started it awhile ago, but wasn’t able to finish it before I had to return it. I put it on hold and recently got the ebook copy of it again so I’ve been spending some time finishing it up.
9:30 pm Get ready for bed
I decide to get ready for bed and put my technology away for the night. I do my usual nighttime routine (wash face, brush teeth, moisturize), and set my alarm for 5 am bright and early the next day so that I can get to the gym. I turn off the light and before I know it I’m asleep.
