Another weekend is over and it feels like it’s flown by. It was definitely a busy weekend, but it was full of some of my favorite things.
Fall is my favorite season – in part because of all the comfy clothes that you get to wear. On Friday I had some errands to do, so I put on a cute and cozy outfit to get them done in.
I’m currently loving this pink pullover from Eddie Bauer, though LL Bean (affiliate link) has a similar one, as does Patagonia (affiliate link). It’s warm and cozy and perfect for cooler fall days when you’re running errands.
Friday night I headed over to my boyfriend’s place for a date night. We ate dinner at Vagabond (I ordered a pepperoni and mushroom thin crust pizza that was really good), and then we spent the rest of the night watching Netflix. We decided on The Equalizer with Denzel Washington.
We split one of my favorite kinds of beer – a lambic. I’m all about the fruity beers so it’s not surprising that I love them. Apparently it’s been awhile since I last had one because my boyfriend thought that it was funny that every time I took a sip I said how delicious it was.
My boyfriend’s bulldog was posing, being extra cute, so I figured a photo was needed. My boyfriend got him in November of last year. It’s hard to believe that it’s been less than a year that he’s had him, but it’s hard to think of life without him now. Dogs make such a big impact on your life.
I spent most of Saturday at Passage for yoga teacher training. Since I completed my teacher training in the spring at Passage, I can come back and audit the course at any point, so that’s what I did. We went over a ton of anatomy, focusing mainly on the lower leg and hip.
We also did a really great practice. It was a hip focused class and the instructor made sure to talk about all the anatomy that we had just discussed throughout the class. It was so great to go through the yoga practice and really get an idea of what muscles are being used in each pose.
I was back at Passage on Sunday morning, this time for some yoga philosophy and a yoga nidra practice. I had never done a yoga nidra practice before I started teacher training, and I can’t believe that it had taken me that long to try a class. Nidra is now one of my favorite slower paced yoga classes.
For lunch on Sunday my boyfriend and I headed over to Grumans for lunch. My boyfriend wanted to take advantage of one of the last days of picklefest there. We ended up ordering the deep fried pickles which were better than the last time I tried them.
I ordered a reuben which was do good! I went with coleslaw as my side. I love that it’s not too creamy and saucy.
This week is gearing up to be a great one. I have a networking event to attend tomorrow night. I have some exciting yoga ideas that I’ll be exploring and I have plans to attend a yoga class later in the week that I’m really looking forward to.
I’ll leave you with one more picture of Winston before I sign off for the day. He’s so cute with those big brown eyes and tongue hanging out! I hope you all have a great Monday!
