Today I’m reviewing a few more beauty products that I’ve been using lately. This time around I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the L’Oreal Eye Makeup Remover and the Sephora Lip Gloss.

Does anyone else like to read reviews online of beauty and skincare products that they’re thinking of buying? I know I do, and I’m much more likely to take the word of someone who’s actually tried it and is giving their honest take on what they liked and didn’t like about the products. None of these posts are sponsored – I’m just sharing the things that I’ve liked using.

L’Oreal Eye Makeup Remover

To apply the L’Oreal Eye Makeup Remover (affiliate link), I simply put some on a cotton ball or pad and hold it over my eyelid for a few seconds before gently wiping it over my eyelid a few times. I then use a new cotton pad for the other eye.

A little goes a long way with this – you don’t need a lot to get off all of your makeup. A bottle like in the photo will last me a few months, so you get your money’s worth when you buy it.

It takes off all of my mascara at the end of the day. I typically don’t wear eyeliner or eye shadow, so I don’t know how it takes off either of those. I am happy with how it gets off my mascara though.

I always have to be careful when it comes to trying out new products because I have sensitive skin. I’m happy to say that I didn’t have any reactions using this eye makeup remover.

Sephora Lip Gloss

I don’t shop at Sephora very often because it’s not exactly budget friendly, but I will pop in every once in awhile to have a look. I love seeing the newest skincare and makeup products. A month or two ago I ended up buying this lip gloss.

I was immediately drawn to this soft shade of pink. It adds a touch of shine without being too sparkly or over the top. The color is No 3 Rose Petal. I’m naturally drawn to shades of pink and I thought that this one was really pretty.

As far as application goes, I really liked the applicator. I’m able to be precise and make sure that it only goes on my lips and not on my skin. It goes on smoothly and doesn’t clump at all and isn’t too thin either – it really does have a really good consistency.

I thought that the staying power was pretty good for a lip gloss. I only had to reapply after eating/drinking or after a few hours. I hate when lip gloss just doesn’t stay and I have to put more on all the time.

I remember buying my very first Sephora lip gloss back in 2006. I was in Europe right after finishing my last semester of university. I was in Paris and had never heard of Sephora before. I ended up going in and despite wanting to buy one of everything, I walked out with a lip gloss.

Shortly after I got home to Calgary from that trip a Sephora store went into my local mall. Needless to say, I was pretty happy about that.

Do you always take off your eye makeup before going to bed? What’s your favorite color of lip gloss?
