It’s Friday morning which means that the weekend is right around the corner. I hope you have some fun stuff planned. So far the only things on my schedule are a couple of group fitness classes and possibly an outdoor yoga class.

Since it’s Friday, that means that I’ll be sharing some of my favorite things from the past week. Read on to find out what I’ve been loving this week.

Asian rice bowl recipe

My dad actually send me this recipe. Apparently Sam the Cooking Guy has a YouTube channel that my dad likes to watch. My dad has made a few recipes of Sam’s that he’s liked.

I’ve made this Asian rice bowl recipe a few times now and I can confirm that it’s delicious. I’ve changed it up a bit by adding some matchstick carrots and diced onions to add a bit more flavor and texture to the dish.

I’ll usually make rice in the Instant Pot to go along with the Asian bowl recipe. Since the Instant Pot is so easy to use it makes it super easy to make the whole meal. Even though it’s easy to make, it also has a ton of flavor thanks to the garlic and ginger.

Big Brother

Every summer I say that I’m not going to watch, but just about every single summer I get sucked back into it. I know that it’s trashy reality TV, but I just can’t seem to help myself. I’m a few episodes behind at the moment, but I still don’t have a favorite player that I’m rooting for yet. Do you have someone that you hope will win?

Nine Perfect Strangers

A few days a go I started reading Nine Perfect Strangers (affiliate link) by Liane Moriarty and I’m already really liking it. I’ve read a few of her books now and I always seem to be sucked in right from the first few pages.

Here’s the summary from Amazon:

If you’re anything like me, you need to listen to something when you’re working out, whether that’s a podcast or a playlist. I need to listen to something to keep my mind occupied or else it feels like my workouts crawl by.

I’m always looking for new playlists, so when Megan aka Muncher Cruncher posted a link to a new one on her Instagram, I checked it out right away. She has a few great playlists on there, so be sure to follow her if you like listening to music while working out too.
