I haven’t shared a day in the life post in awhile, so I thought I’d put one together for today.

5:25 am I ended up waking up earlier than I had my alarm set for today. I wanted to go back to sleep for a bit, but it wasn’t in the cards, so I checked my email and scrolled through Instagram before getting up and getting dressed to go to the gym.

6:00 am I arrive at the gym, put my gym bag in a locker, and head up to the workout floor to get on an elliptical.

6:05 am I start my cardio workout and put on a podcast to listen to while I’m on the elliptical. I decide to go with The Vanished Podcast that I had started the day before. This episode is about Zacharey Wilkes who disappeared driving from his family’s home in California to his Uncle’s place in Vegas.

6:40 am I finish up my workout head back down to the locker room to grab my gym bag and head out.

6:55 am I stop at Tim Horton’s to pick up a green tea and muffin for my dad, and I decide to get a muffin for myself too. I always get the blueberry ones – they’re so good! It’s super quiet at the Tim Horton’s so I’m in and out super quick.

7:05 am When I get home I make myself breakfast. I go with my usual post workout breakfast and make a protein smoothie – water, frozen berries, plain yogurt, and protein powder (affiliate link).

7:10 am I drink it while I post a few things on social media and check out Twitter.

7:30 am I hope in the shower to wash off my sweaty workout. I take some extra time afterwards to straighten my hair (it now hits my shoulders in that awkward spot so it curls under a bit but not like it looks intentional) so I look more presentable and put on some makeup – powder, blush, mascara, and lip gloss. Isn’t it funny how a few extra minutes of getting ready in the morning can make such a big difference?

8:15 am I spend a few minutes checking on a few things on my computer before deciding that I want to get out of the house. I check to make sure I still have money on my Starbucks app (I do!) so I pack up my laptop and my notebook and I head over to a Starbucks in the next neighborhood over from mine.

8:30 am I order my usual summer time drink at Starbucks (a tall unsweetened green iced tea) and get down to work on writing a few blog posts and working on my Pinterest account (make sure you follow me over there for clothes, recipes, and workouts).

10:45 am After being super productive and getting a ton done, I decide to call it quits at the coffee shop and head home.

11 am At home I get some business related tasks done. Before I know it my stomach is growling so I decide to break for lunch.

12:10 pm I decide to go with a barbecued chicken burger with ketchup, mustard, and a pickle, beef jerky, a piece of cheese, blueberries, and a spinach salad with thousand island dressing. I didn’t realize how hungry I was til I started eating. It hit the spot.

While I eat I finish watching the 6th episode of Stranger Things. I won’t be sharing any spoilers, but this season is so good!

12:50 pm I sit back down at my desk and get started writing a blog post. I’m working really hard on working ahead and getting some posts scheduled ahead of time. It’s tough to get the motivation to do it, but it’s a lot less stressful when I’m not scrambling to get posts done at the last minute.

3:15 pm The words aren’t coming to me anymore so I decided to switch tasks and start working on some professional goals. I’m putting deadlines to the goals and it feels pretty cool to see all the things that I want to achieve over the next few years. Having the goals and concrete dates down gives me a clear direction that I’m excited about.

3:50 pm I create two graphics for blog posts in Canva. It’s my go to program to create blog graphics. I don’t know what I would do without it! For stock photography I use Haute Stock (affiliate link) – another great resource if you’re also a blogger.

5:05 pm My brain is pretty much done working for the day so I decide to spend some time reading before making dinner. I’m reading Teaching Yoga (affiliate link) and I’m learning so much that I can use when I’m teaching yoga. Completing my 200 hour teacher training made me realize that I learned a lot, but also that there’s so much more to learn and know to become a really great yoga teacher.

5:50 pm My stomach tells me it’s time to get dinner ready, so I mix up some chicken salad with some leftover chicken, a bit of chopped onion, mayo and relish. I put the chicken salad in a whole wheat kaiser bun and pair the sandwich with a spinach salad and half a blueberry muffin.

6:45 pm I clean up the kitchen after dinner and then get ready to go to a yin and restore yoga class.

7:00 pm I leave the house to drive to Yoga in Bowness.

7:15 pm I sign in at the front desk and lay out my mat in the studio. There’s just something about doing yoga after a full day that feels so good.

8:15 pm Class finishes and I feel like a million bucks. Spending the hour and 15 minutes on my mat and focusing on myself was well worth it.

8:30 pm Once I get home I change into my pajamas, get washed up, and settle into bed to read – this time some fiction.

9:55 pm I have a hard time keeping my eyes open reading so I turn out the light and go to sleep/
