Another weekend has come and gone – and it was a pretty good one for me. It was a good mix of being productive and having fun, which is always a good thing.
I started my weekend off with a Saturday morning trip to the gym for some cardio. I got in a 35 minute workout – 25 minutes on the elliptical and a 10 minute cool down. It went by super quick thanks to a good podcast. If you’re ever looking for podcasts to listen to check out some of my favorites in this post.

Saturday afternoon I had plans for a photo shoot with a photographer. She’s also a yoga teacher (that’s how we connected), and I thought it would be a good idea to have some photos for the blog and yoga promotional materials for when I start teaching (which will hopefully be really soon)! We emailed a few times back and forth to figure out what I wanted and suggestions she had. I was so grateful for her advice because I had no idea what to expect.

I ended up bring three bags worth of outfit changes and props with me. We took photos at a few different locations including a coffee shop, outside of a pretty building on the steps, and a park with lots of pretty trees in the background.
To be completely honest I was a bit apprehensive about it, but Angelique made me feel really comfortable and had some great ideas throughout the photo shoot. She showed me some photos on her camera and they looked so much better than I was expecting. I’m so excited to see what the finished photos look like!
Sunday morning I headed over to Yoga in Bowness for a yoga nidra class. It was a great class as usual, and I left feeling amazing. There’s something about carving time into your day for yourself that just feels so good.

Outdoor yoga was cancelled due to rain on Sunday afternoon, so I headed over to my boyfriend’s place instead. We took his bulldog puppy Winston, for a walk around the neighborhood. We ended up going by a Starbucks and asked if he wanted anything, so I got the two of us drinks (my summer go to drink is an iced green tea with no sweetener) and I ordered a puppachino for Winston. It was his very first one but he slurped it down with no hesitations. Check out my Instagram for a video of him eating it. It was pretty cute because he’s a messy eater!
We watched a movie and played with Winston. He clearly didn’t trust my bone holding abilities because at one point he had both paws on my hand. I guess he thought I would want to chew on it too.

After Winston got fed dinner my boyfriend and I headed out to a new to us pub, St James Corner. It was a really cute British style pub. I ordered the chicken melt sandwich which was delicious. It had a grilled chicken breast, mayo, bacon, lettuce, and tomato on it. I went with a salad as my side and it was really good too. I will definitely be back at some point.
