Today I’m sharing two more skincare reviews – Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water (affiliate link) and Burt’s Bees Eye Cream (affiliate link). I’ve been using both of these products for months now so I’m confident in sharing how they’ve worked for me.
I use the Garnier Micellar Water (affiliate link) to cleanse and get rid of any last makeup left after washing my face. I use it after using cleanser to wash my face but before moisturizer. I put some on a cotton pad and gently rub it over my face. You don’t need very much. I use it both in the morning and the evening. I felt like it doesn’t leave a residue behind, though I’ve heard that some people do like to rinse their face after using it.
It contains no parabens, fragrances, sulfates, or silicones. It’s so important to me because of my sensitive skin that things like that aren’t in the skincare products that I use.
You can use it to remove eye makeup as well, but I don’t. I’d rather use a dedicated eye makeup remover to avoid as much rubbing as possible on the sensitive skin around my eyes.
The Burt’s Bees Eye Cream (affiliate link) is free of fragrances, parabens, phthalates, and petroleum. It’s hypoallergenic, and hasn’t caused any reactions with my sensitive skin. It’s made with royal jelly which contains vitamins A, B2, and E.
I use it all over my face after cleansing and using micellar water. I apply it to the skin around my eyes with my finger tips. Just like the micellar water, a little goes a long way, so I don’t have to use much. I use the eye cream both morning and night. I find that it absorbs into my skin quickly, feels light, and doesn’t leave my face feeling greasy. It’s very easy to put makeup over top of it once it absorbs into my skin, which only takes a minute or two.
I really like the packaging. The end where the product comes out is made of a soft plastic which makes it really easy to get just a little bit out at a time so that I don’t waste any product. It’s the worst when way more comes out that you need and you end up wasting it.
I haven’t noticed a difference with the fine lines around my eyes, though I don’t think that they’ve gotten any worse. I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my skin over the last few years. I’m now officially of the age to worry about fine lines on my face.
I found both the micellar water and the eye cream at the drug store, so they’re budget friendly. It’s so easy to spend a lot of money on skincare, but it doesn’t have to be expensive. Looking for more beauty and skincare posts? You can find all of mine right here.
