Before I get into my workout playlist for today, I wanted to share my workout yesterday. I didn’t make it to the gym yesterday since I had to work at the yoga studio, but I did get in a yoga class while I was there.

It was a great flow class where we did lots of different poses that I usually wouldn’t do in my own practice, like side plank, warrior III, and half moon. Both warrior III and half moon are challenging for me because my balance isn’t very good. Needless to say, I ended up working really hard for those balancing postures. Part of what I like about going to yoga classes is that I get out of my comfort zone. If I always practiced at home I’m pretty sure that I would always do the same poses that I’m good at and never do the ones that are harder for me.

When I was putting together the playlist for today, I thought that it would be fun to put together a playlist of female artists from the late 90’s and early 2000′. I was in high school and university during those years, so the songs bring back a lot of memories for me.

I remember listening to Destiny’s Child in my friend’s first car, driving home from school. I thought we were so cool because we didn’t have to ride the bus because I had a friend with a car.

I wasn’t really a big fan of TLC back then, but now I really like them – their songs are so iconic of the late 90’s. And I’m pretty sure that Britney Spears was played at just about every single dance during that time too.

Does anyone remember the Spice Girls movie? I went to go see it with two friends, and the three of us were the only ones in the theater. That was definitely an indication of how good the movie would be. Spoiler: it wasn’t good at all.

You can find the playlist here on Spotify. If you’re looking for more playlists, follow me on Spotify here or check out my workout playlists page.

This is a bit off topic, but I need some advice. I’m looking to buy a pair of flats, but it’s a bit overwhelming. I honestly didn’t think that there would be as many choices as I found when I started looking for them. Do you have a favorite pair of flats? If so, share them in the comments below. I’d love to hear any recommendations you have!
