It’s been quite awhile since I’ve last shared a day in the life post, so I thought I’d write one.

6:30 am I wake up relatively early despite the fact that I didn’t set my alarm. I skipped the gym this morning because my right foot has been feeling a bit funky due to plantar fasciitis. I’m trying to nip it in the bud by taking a rest day and rolling out my foot with a tennis ball. I don’t want it to get worse.

6:40 am I get into the shower and get dressed.

7:20 am I head downstairs to eat breakfast. I put together cereal, plain yogurt, and water to eat. Super easy to make and I eat it while watching the morning news.

8 am I get started with my day. I have a couple blog posts that I want to get written, edited, graphics made for, photos edited, and scheduled, so I get down to work.

11:30 am I ended up eating a bit of an early lunch – leftover honey mustard pork chops and a side salad. I got the recipe from Budget Bytes and it’s so easy to make but full of flavor.

12:05 PM I decided to go downtown to work from a coffee shop for a bit since I needed to get out of the house for awhile. While I was in the car I listened to a podcast called Criminal – the epidsode I listened to was about the hostage taking in the 70’s that resulted in the term “Stockholm syndrome”.

12:40 PM arrive at Rosso, order a green tea, and start working on some blog stuff.

1:50 PM I finish up and head over to my boyfriend’s place to take his Bulldog puppy for a walk. He usually gets a treat from the employees at this liquor store (for my US readers, alcohol isn’t sold in grocery stores in Canada, just liquor stores), and isn’t happy when he realizes he’s not getting one today.

2:25 PM It starts raining on the walk so we pick up the pace to get back home. Winston isn’t happy about being toweled off and tries to attack the towel when we arrive back at my boyfriend’s place.

2:45 PM I head to a haircut appointment. It’s been a hear and a half since I last got it cut. I only know that because I book my appointments online and my last one was November 2017. I can’t believe that it’s been that long. I clearly need it!

3:30 PM I talk with the stylist and show her some photos I liked that I found on Pinterest. She asks how much effort I like to put into my hair when I’m getting ready in the morning (just blowdrying it), and she gets started.

5 PM The haircut takes a bit longer than I was expecting, but I really liked how it turned out. If anyone else is in NW Calgary and would like the name of my stylist let me know. I really liked her.

5:20 PM I start making dinner – tacos! I brown up some ground beef, add some seasoning (chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic, onion powder, and oregano), and it’s done. I served it with corn tortillas and toppings (olives, sour cream, grated cheese, and salsa). It was a super easy meal.

6 PM I put on an episode of Halt and Catch Fire while I’m sitting on the couch scrolling through social media.

6:50 PM I decide that I should probably finish this post so I get to work at my desk.

I’ll probably spend the rest of the night reading The President Is Missing (affiliate link). I’m about 2/3 of the way through now and I really want to know how it’ll end. There’s a mole in the White House and I think I’ve figured out who it is and I want to find out if I’m right!
