Today I’m sharing some of my recent eats from the last few weeks.

You guys, I’ve been craving meat like crazy the last little while. Like I can have it for two meals a day and I’m still wanting more. It must be my body telling me something, so I’ve been going with it. So if my meals seem a bit meat-centric in this post, that’s why.

Breakfast

I usually have one of two things for breakfast in the mornings after going to the gym – a smoothie or cereal with yogurt on the side.

I had both of them over the past week or two, though I only managed to get a photo of a smoothie for this post. (If you’re looking for a recipe for a protein smoothie, check out this post). I pretty much make them like I do in that recipe. The only thing that changes is the kind of fruit/berries that I put in.

As far as cereal goes, I’ve been all about the Life cereal lately. Does anyone else remember that commercial from way back with Mikey who ends up liking the cereal?

Lunch

I ended up at South Street Burger with my dad the other day. I decided to go with a lettuce wrapped bun.

There was a slice of cheese and two pieces of bacon in it so it was definitely tasty.

I bought one of those bagged salads the last time that I was at the grocery store, and it was especially good. The greens were kale, broccoli, and brussel sprouts, and it came with a creamy poppy seed dressing, pumpkin seeds, and dried cranberries. I made a couple hard boiled eggs to go along side the salad.

Apparently I was on a lettuce wrapped cheeseburger kick the last little while, because I had a second one. This one also had bacon and cheese along with a really good maple barbecue sauce.

Dinner

My dad made chicken noodle soup in his Instant Pot, and it turned out delicious once again. I know it doesn’t look like it from the photo, but there was a ton of really tender and flavorful chicken in it, along with carrots.

Vagabond has the best side salads. Usually they’re not the best part of the meal, but this salad was. My boyfriend and I went out to eat for date night and I went with the chicken sandwich. It had avocado on it, so it was delicious.

I was craving egg salad over the weekend, so I made some to go along some plain yogurt and more of the bagged kale/broccoli/brussel sprout salad. It was kind of a thrown together meal, but it really hit the spot.
