This week’s workouts were all about the cardio on the elliptical and yoga. Plantar fasciitis was rearing it’s ugly head this week so the elliptical was perfect for getting cardio in with as little impact on my feet as possible.
After I finished at yoga teacher training Saturday afternoon I headed over to my boyfriend’s place to take his bulldog puppy for a walk. It was only for 30 minutes and it was at a bit of a slower pace (there’s so much out there for a dog to sniff), but it still felt good to get out there and walk.
My morning workout on Tuesday was some cardio at the gym. I only got in a 35 minute workout because I just wasn’t feeling it. I spent 30 minutes on the elliptical and walked the track for 5 minutes for my cooldown.
Tuesday evening I went to a great yoga class. It was an ashtanga unwind class, so the first 45 minutes or so was an abbreviated primary series of ashtanga yoga followed by some restorative poses. It’s the perfect combination for me of working hard and allowing myself to relax.
I spent my workout on Wednesday at the gym on the elliptical. My workout flew by because I downloaded a new playlist to my phone. It was this playlist just in case you’re also needing some musical motivation during your next workout.
My last cardio workout of the week was on the elliptical again. I spent 35 minutes on it doing steady state cardio, and then spent 5 minutes walking the track for my cool down.
This afternoon I’m going to a dag karma class, with proceeds going to a local rescue organization. I’m sure yoga will take a back seat to petting all the dogs, but it’ll be so much fun.
