Is anyone else excited for the weekend? While I don’t have much planned, I am going to a dog karma yoga class. Yep, you read that right, I’m going to a yoga class with dogs! The proceeds of the class are going to AARCS, a local rescue.
I’ve been to puppy yoga before (read about it in this post) and had so much fun. It also benefited a rescue, so it was for a good cause and I got to pet all the puppies. Yoga definitely took a back seat to giving the dogs attention, so I’m sure it’ll be that way again on Saturday. If a dog comes by my mat I’m giving him or her some attention.

Finishing Yoga Teacher Training
I know I mentioned this earlier in the week, but it feels like a big accomplishment for me. It’s definitely the biggest thing that’s happened this month.
It felt like it was a long time coming – the first weekend of yoga teacher training was back in mid September. If you’re interested in reading recaps of the weekends, you can find them all on my yoga page.
I’ve learned so much since September, and not just about yoga. I ended up learning a ton about myself in the process. It’s hard to believe looking back how much the instructors managed to pack into the seven months – anatomy, philosophy, meditation, ethics, and asanas.

To be completely honest, I was on the fence for a long time about signing up for yoga teacher training. It was something I thought about for years. I’m so glad that I finally took the plunge in July and decided to sign up for it though.
I still have some paperwork to do before I can start teaching, but I’m so excited to get out there soon and sharing what yoga has done for me with other people.
Yoga with a special teacher
Speaking of yoga, I got to take a yoga class with one of my absolute favorite yoga teachers She’s actually the person who got me into yoga teacher ago – back in 2011 or 2012 when I really needed it more than I knew.
Her class was great as always, which means I worked hard and was sweating buckets. It’s always surprising to me how hard some postures are, especially some of the balancing ones.
The President is Missing
I’m currently reading The President Is Missing (affiliate link) by James Patterson and Bill Clinton. I’m about a quarter of the way through it and I’m really enjoying it. It’s been quite awhile since I’ve read a thriller like this one, so it’s been fun to change it up a bit.

I’ve actually been in a bit of a book rut the last few weeks. I’ve started 4 or 5 books that I just couldn’t get into. If you’ve read a really good book lately would you mind leaving a comment about it? While I’m really enjoying this one, I need some more suggestions of books to put on hold at the library.
