Today I’m sharing my favorite post workout protein smoothie recipe.
I hope you all are keeping warm if it’s cold where you are. I’m more than ready for this cold weather to go here in Calgary. Tomorrow the high is supposed to be -18 C, though with the windchill it’ll feel more like -28 C (or -18 F for my American readers). It’s so cold! Thankfully it’s supposed to warm up a bit next week, though it’s still going to be below freezing.
It’s ironic that I’m sharing a smoothie recipe on a day when it’s so cold out.

- 1 scoop Pure Protein Vanilla Cream protein powder
- 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1/4 cup water
- 3/4 cups frozen berries
Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend until combined.
This is my basic recipe that I follow, though I change it up depending in what I have in my kitchen. I may use Greek yogurt instead of regular yogurt. I might swap orange juice for the water. There’s also lots of choices for frozen fruit, so I might use something else besides frozen berries.
Pure Protein Vanilla Cream (affiliate link) is my favorite, but you can use any kind that you like. I think the Vanilla Cream flavor tastes like vanilla cake – it’s hard to go wrong with that.
What do you like to put in your protein smoothies?
