I’m sharing a recap of my weekend in today’s blog post.
Friday
I had a movie night with friends planned for Friday night. One of my friends was visiting from out of town, so it was great to see her as it had been a few months since we’d last gotten together.

We started off by eating dinner and then watched the newest Halloween movie from last year with Jamie Lee Curtis. Did anyone else love that her age was embraced in this movie? They didn’t try to make her look younger.
It wasn’t a late night (I was home before midnight) and I didn’t drink, but I definitely felt the lack of sleep the next morning. I’m definitely not 20 anymore – I don’t know how I did those late nights at the bar back then.
Saturday
Saturday afternoon I headed over to my boyfriend’s place for date night. My dad had bought a dog toy for Winston, which he promptly destroyed in 15 minutes. Those sharp puppy teeth are no joke.

We took Winston for a walk afterwards. He loves to look at his reflection in the windows, so there were a lot of breaks to stop and check himself out.
For dinner we decided to order shawarma from Skip the Dishes. While we were eating we watched the Netflix documentary about the Fyre Festival. I had heard about how terrible it had turned out, but I was shocked at how obvious it was to the guy in charge that it wasn’t going to be what they’d advertised, but he still went along with it anyways, even if people’s safety was compromised.
Sunday

I went to an ashtanga class Sunday morning at the Yoga Shala. I hadn’t done one at a studio in a long time, so it felt good to be back at it. I had to modify most of the downward dogs to puppies because my wrists aren’t feeling 100%, but it was still a really great practice.
I spent the rest of Sunday around the house getting some things done on my to do list and writing this post. Overall it was a really fun weekend between spending time with friends, date night with my boyfriend, and yoga.
