Another week is done. I feel like time seems to pass even faster the closer we get to the holidays. I think it has to do with the longer nights and colder weather.Does it feel like time is flying for anyone else?

This was a pretty good week for me. Between meeting my boyfriend’s new puppy, to celebrating my birthday on Wednesday, and having lunch with my mom and brother this morning, it was just a really nice week.

Before I share some of my favorite things. I thought I’d recap my workout yesterday morning. I got to the gym bright and early (well technically it was still dark when I got there and only starting to get light when I left) to get in my last cardio workout of the week.

I spent 35 minutes on the elliptical. My cool down was walking on the track to bring my heart rate down. I listened to one of my 80’s workout playlists to keep me entertained (search for getfitfiona on Spotify to follow and get access to all of my workout playlists).

I have a question for you guys. When I’m on the elliptical I keep my hands on the handles that move with my feet, not the inner handles that are stationary. Which ones do you use? I find that I feel more balanced when I use the ones that move. Having my legs moving but my arms stationary feels kind of weird for me. Which ones do you prefer?

And now onto some of my favorite things of the past week.

Puppies

As I mentioned above, there’s no way that I could write a Friday Favorites post and not include this little guy on it – he’s my boyfriend’s puppy. He is so adorable and has seriously the softest fur. His ears and belly are particularly soft. All I want to do is cuddle him, but I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t like that 24/7.

He’s still getting used to being away from his mom and littler mates, but I think he’s starting to get the hang of things away from them. I’m definitely enjoying all the perks of a puppy without having to worry about any of the not so fun stuff like cleaning up accidents.

Lindt chocolates with hazelnuts

I got this box of chocolates from my boyfriend for my birthday. Lindt’s are my absolute favorite, so he figured that I’d be happy with these – he was right! I had never tried the ones with the hazelnuts before, but it turns out that they’re delicious. Really, was there every any real doubt that they’d be good? I’ll definitely be buying these again.

Birthday texts and messages

There’s nothing quite like getting happy birthday messages from your favorite people – both family and friends. I got cards, texts, and emails – needless to say I’m feeling very loved right now. It’s a good reminder of how many great people I have in my life and how lucky I am.

What was a favorite of yours from the past week? Anyone else have a November birthday too?
