Another week is done and the Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend is about to begin!
It’s going to be a pretty low key Thanksgiving this year, with just immediate family at the dinner table. We’re doing the traditional turkey dinner with stuffing and cranberry sauce. I’m picking up some really cute decorated sugar cookies for dessert. I’m looking forward to some delicious food and being able to spend time with my family.
Bon Appetit Gourmet Twizzlers
Has anyone else subscribed to the Bon Appetit YouTube channel and love watching the videos where they try to recreate junk food? They’ve done a bunch of them already – everything from Skittles to Oreos to Lucky Charms. In their latest edition they’re making Twizzlers. I think it ended up being tougher than the host anticipated, and it required a lot of creative thinking to get it right.
Envy by Anna Godbersen
I’m currently half way through Envy (affiliate link), the third book in the Luxe series. I’m about halfway through now and I’m really enjoying it just like the first two books. I have one more book to read in the series after this one.
They’re set in the early 1900’s in New York City, and follow the lives of a few wealthy teens and twenty somethings. It’s basically Gossip Girl 100 years earlier.
Envy is an easy, quick read that doesn’t require a lot of thinking. It’s kind of nice to have a book like that every once in awhile. It would be the perfect book to binge on if you’re on vacation at the beach.
Bender the Bernie
I’m going to assume that you all know about Thoughts of Dog on Twitter and We Rate Dogs on Instagram. Both accounts are actually run by the same person. If you’re not already following both of those accounts, go do it now. I promise it’ll be worth it. They make me smile every single time I see them pop up on my social media.
Along the lines with those two dog accounts, I recently started follow Bender’s account. He’s a Bernese puppy and it so cute with his fluffy fur. He’s absolutely adorable. It makes me remember how cute our dog was as a puppy, and also how much work he was. Puppies have so much energy and have a knack for getting themselves into trouble.
