It’s already Friday – this week felt like it absolutely flew by. I’m not complaining though – the weekend is here, and for me that means yoga teacher training! I’m looking forward to learning about the anatomy of the hips and diving into some yoga philosophy. The principles of yoga isn’t something that I know a lot of about because my practice has been mainly physical up until now. While it’s a bit intimidating knowing that I know so little about it, I’m excited to learn more about it.

Neutrogena Moisture Oil Free SPF 15
I needed some more facial moisturizer so I picked up this Neutrogena Moisture Oil Free SPF 15 (affiliate link) one while I was at the drugstore earlier this week. Because I’m so fair skinned and am prone to sunburns, I always like to make sure that my moisturizer has at least a little protection from the sun, so I really like that it has SPF 15.
Even though I’ve only been using it for a few days now, I’m pretty happy with it. It absorbs into my skin quickly without leaving any residue behind. I’ll be sure to share how I like it in a few weeks once I have a better idea of how well it works.

Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
I know I mentioned this book the other day, but I wanted to mention it again because it was so good. I literally couldn’t put it down. Little Fires Everywhere (affiliate link) by Celeste Ng follows three families and how their stories intertwine with each other. Sometimes it’s easy to figure out how plot lines will come together, but I wasn’t able to figure it out with this book.
It would be a great book for a book club – I wish I had someone to discuss it with once I had finished. Although I borrowed it from my local library, I think it’s well worth the cost of buying it – it was just so good!

Coffee shop work sessions
Yesterday I got out of the house to get some blogging done. There were just too many distractions at home (hello Netflix and social media), so I figured a coffee shop blogging session was in order.
When I go to a Starbucks with a list of things that I want to get done I’m usually pretty productive. It’s somehow easier to stay on track and be focused instead of getting distracted by Instagram.
Even though I only stayed about an hour, I still managed to get a ton of work done. I got a couple graphics made for upcoming blog posts, I wrote a blog post, and I scheduled some social media with CoSchedule (which I still love years after first discovering it). I ended up leaving feeling really good about how much I got accomplished.

Homemade brownies
I made brownies this week. I was making dinner for my parents and thought that brownies would be a good dessert. They smelled so good when they were in the oven and it took some serious willpower to not have a piece until after dinner.
It had been awhile since I had last had brownies, and I can confirm that they were just as good, if not better than I remember. If you haven’t made brownies in awhile, do yourself a favor and make some. You won’t regret it, I promise.
What’s a favorite of yours from the past week? The last really good book you read?
