In my usual Friday fashion today I’m sharing some of my favorite things from the past week.

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! Is anyone else surprise that this is the last Friday of April? I didn’t realize it until I looked at my calendar this morning. I know I’ve said this before, but 2018 is flying by already and we’re only four months into it. I’m definitely looking forward to the weekend. Between some stressful family stuff going on and a really busy week at work, I’m looking forward to some down time over the next couple days. It’s been quite the week.

And now onto my Friday favorites!

Tomato Plants

The tomato plants that I started back in March from seed are starting to get big. They look like actual tomato plants now. I’m itching to get them outside (right now I have them right by a south facing window to make sure that they get as much sun as possible while they’re still inside). It’ll probably be another 6 weeks or so until I can plant them outside once the risk of frost is over. I can’t wait to be eating fresh tomatoes from the garden this summer.

Even though the second season of Westworld started last weekend, I’m still re-watching the first season until I can start season 2 (which will most likely happen this weekend and I can’t wait). The second time through I’m noticing so many things that I missed the first time. If you haven’t watched Westworld, I highly recommend you check it out. Give it 2 or 3 episodes before you decide to call it quits, it gets better the more you watch.

Tulips

Having had some warmer, spring like weather this week, made me appreciate these tulips that I bought this week. I put them on my desk and they cheered me up whenever I looked at them. There’s just something about flowers that make me feel good. If I ever become independently wealthy I’m pretty sure I would constantly be splurging on cut flowers.

Camp NaNoWriMo Win

This month I participated in Camp NaNoWriMo. I thought it would be some good motivation to write an ebook that I’m working on. I set my goal write 20,000 words by the end of April. I finished yesterday, a few days early. Looking back now, I’m pretty impressed with myself that I was able to get 20,000 words down. It seemed like a huge goal when I set it, but I was able to get it done. While I’m still not quite done my ebook yet, I think I’ll only have to write about 10,000 more words before I’m done. It’s hard to believe that I”m over half done!

Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers

This week one of the recipes I made was Philly cheesesteak stuffed peppers. They turned out really good, and other than some chopping and sauteeing, they were really easy to make. They turned out really good and had a ton of flavor to them. I’ll definitely be baking them again.
