This week has felt really long. Between wanting to get a bunch of stuff done around the house and work being a bit more stressful that usual, I'm really looking forward to the weekend. I'm so glad to have a few days to unwind and relax. Weekends always seem to arrive just in time.
I've had Amazon Prime since the summer now, and I have to admit that I love it way more than I thought I would. It's so worth the annual fee! The last order I made arrived in just 28 hours. I submitted my order in the early after noon and I got it just after dinner the next day. They're seriously fast. Plus it's super convenient because I can find just about everything that I need on Amazon. One stop shopping and I don't even have to leave the house. Included in Amazon Prime is Amazon Video. I've been slowly but sure watching the old episodes (from the 80's and 90's) of Unsolved Mysteries. I think I've made it to season 4 now.
I bought some pretty flowers for my mom and I last week. The tulips were such pretty colors, I couldn't resist them when I saw them in the store. Tulips are always one of the first things to bloom here (like they are most places), so I'm hoping that I'll be able to see them blooming outside soon. First we just need to get a few feet of snow melted….
Speaking of weather, I'm so glad that after last weekend's snowstorm, we're having some warmer weather now. In fact, it's even supposed to be above freezing this weekend! There is so much snow on the ground right now. Snow drifts are huge and there are lots of ruts on residential streets (the ruts are actually so bad I almost got stuck a few days ago). I'm really hoping that the snow storm that we had last weekend is the last one this winter.
I finished reading Big Magic (affiliate link) by Elizabeth Gilbert a few days ago. I ended up liking it more than I thought I would. I was worried it would be too “woo woo” for me, but it wasn't. I would definitely recommend it if you're at all creative for your job or a hobby. I just started Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix (affiliate link). It's my favorite of all the Harry Potter books, so I'm super excited to get into it more.
Do you have Amazon Prime? What's the last good book you read?
