As usual for Saturdays here on GFF, I’m recapping my week in workouts.
This week hasn’t been the best when it comes to workouts. I only made it to the gym twice. While I did do a few at home workouts, the motivation just wasn’t there this week to be active.
Sunday // I couldn’t talk myself into going to the gym Sunday morning so I ended up doing at home workout on YouTube, courtesy of Jessica Smith. She has so many great workouts that are super easy to do at home and don’t require a ton of equipment. Definitely check her out the next time you’re looking to get in a sweaty workout without having to go to the gym.
Monday // This was an unscheduled rest day. I pressed snooze one too many times when my alarm went off in the morning and I didn’t have time to get to the gym before I had to leave for work.
Tuesday // Once again, I couldn’t convince myself to go to the gym, so I did this workout of mine at home. Although I went through the motions, my heart wasn’t really into it. After three rounds I was glad to be done.
Wednesday // This was my planned rest day.
Thursday // 30 minutes of steady state cardio on the elliptical. The only thing that got me through the entire 30 minutes with my workout playlist – particularly the last song. Straight Up by Paula Abdul gave me the burst of energy that I needed to finish out the workout. There’s so much 80’s goodness in that song.
Friday // I took another rest day on Friday. I was planning to go to an event early on Friday, so I wouldn’t have had enough time to head to the gym before.
Saturday // My workout plan for today is to go to a drop in fitness class at my gym.
How do you get motivated to workout when you’re feeling it? I’d love to hear your tips in the comments below.
