It’s Saturday, so that means that it’s time for another Weekly Workouts post. Despite the fact that this week was a busy with family stuff, I still managed to get in all my workouts.
Sunday // I went to the gym and spent 45 minutes on the elliptical. I took it easy, and focused on getting in the full 45 minutes instead of going hard. King of like a long slow run.
Monday // Monday’s workout was a walk. It was a cooler day, which meant that I took advantage of it. I went to my favorite park in Calgary, right by the river. There’s so many pretty views and it’s the perfect place to de-stress along with being active.
Tuesday // I found myself at the gym Tuesday morning, but quite sure what I was in the mood to do. I ended up on the elliptical again and doing about 30 minutes on there before doing a few laps of the track to help bring my heart rate down for a cool down.
Wednesday // Rest day.
Thursday // My workout was completed on the elliptical again today. I ended up going after work because I couldn’t convince myself to get out of bed when my alarm went off at 5 am. All that matters is that I got there eventually, right? I decided to really push myself during this workout, and I’m so glad that I did. I did steady state cardio on the elliptical at a higher intensity than I’ve done in a long time. Surprisingly it wasn’t terrible – and even easier than I was expecting (it was still tough though). It’s a good reminder to push myself out of my comfort zone because I’m capable of more than I think I am.
Friday // Rest day.
Saturday // Today I’m considering either a Zumba class or another bike workout – I haven’t made up my mind yet. I haven’t been to a Zumba class in forever.
What was your favorite workout from the last week? Last workout that you pushed yourself out of your comfort zone?
