Today I’m sharing how my July goals went and what I want to achieve in August.
Before I go into my August goals, I’m going to talk a bit about how my July goals went.
Build my online business // I’m going to say that this goal was achieved in July. I spent quite a bit of time making some tweaks to the blog in addition to writing 4 posts per week for all but one week. I’ve been working on some things that I want to offer in the next month or two including offering some printables for sale as well as a fitness challenge in September. I’m super excited about those two things, so make sure you check back for more about them.
Get back to working out consistently // After finishing finals at the end of June, I’ve been much better at getting in my workouts each week. I joined a gym that’s less than a 10 minute drive from home, which is much closer than the gym at school was. I’ve been averaging three workouts per week at the gym, plus soccer on Sundays.
And now onto my August goals.
Get 7 hours of sleep each night // My sleeping hasn’t been the greatest the last few months. It’s been a slow change. I’m not quite sure what caused it, but I’m definitely not sleeping as much or as well as I used to. It’s easy to keep track of with my Fitbit, so during August I’m going to try to get an average of 7 hours of sleep each week. I can notice a huge difference when I sleep well – it affects my concentration and mood – so I know it’s an important part of my well being.
Study for CSEP exam // Now that I’ve finished my last semester of school in June, I can take my Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology exam. While a few of my classmates took it the day after we finished our last final, I was super stressed out and knew that I wouldn’t do well on it if I took it along with the rest of my finals. Now that I’ve had 4 glorious school and study free weeks, I’m feeling good about starting to study for my CSEP exam.
Between the manual, PowerPoint, and notes that I took in our exam prep class, I have a ton of material to cover – in addition to knowing bits and pieces of what I’ve covered for the last few years in school, including anatomy, physiology, and exercise physiology.
What is one thing you want to accomplish in August?
