Happy long weekend! Since Saturday was Canada Day here, today is a stat. I’m definitely enjoying my day off. I didn’t end up doing much to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday, other than watching some fireworks from my boyfriend’s condo. They were really pretty and even the refection of them off of the windows of city hall looked cool.
Before going into my goals for July I thought I’d recap my June goals first.
Finish school strong // While it was definitely a struggle some days, I managed to muster up the motivation to work hard. Last week I had 4 finals, so it was pretty stressful. Thankfully I’ve gotten marks back for three finals already, and so far I’m happy with my marks. Needless to day that I’m pretty excited to be done school and finally moving forward to working in the fitness industry. I have one more exam to write in order to become a Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology Certified Personal Trainer, but that will happen later on in July.
Continue to plan for my future // In between studying for finals I’ve put together a list of places that I’d like to apply once I’m done school. This weekend I’ve been going through that list and submitting resumes. I’m very grateful to be able to continue working at the job that I’ve had throughout school until I find something in the fitness industry. It takes a lot of stress off to still be able to make money while job hunting.
And now on to my July goals!
Build my online business // I’ve been slowly figuring out how I can transfer my new personal training skills online. I’m planning on hosting a challenge in September (make sure to sign up on my mailing list to be the first to know when I launch it), as well as online boot camps and even online personal training. I’m even thinking of create some fitness related printables. While it’s definitely exciting, it’s also a little scary, as I’ve never owned my own business before. My goal for July is to get my business structure figured out and official so that I can move forward with my ideas.
Get back to working out consistently // My workouts the last two weeks have been all over the place with school and finals, which has mean that I haven’t been working out as regularly as I would have hoped. I’m planning on going this morning to get a gym membership at a gym a lot closer to me than the gym at school was. Now instead of driving 40 minutes to get to the gym it’ll only be 10 minutes away. Yay! I’m planning on getting back to writing my Weekly Workouts posts as well.
What are one of your goals for July?
Congrats on being so slow to your degree! That is amazing!
I would like to grow my business more in July =)
I love your business goals and how focused you are! I am also dabbling in the idea of online coaching and if it could be a source of income down the road. I wish you all the best and hope you are able to do it smoothly :) Thanks for sharing!
