Did the weekend fly by for anyone else too? I spent part of Friday downtown at the Make It Show. As I was expecting, there were some extremely creative people there showing off their skills. I love checking out shows with local people, so it was a lot of fun browsing all the booths and talking to the vendors. I ended up coming home with a Father’s Day card that’s absolutely perfect for my dad and a jar of cherry jam (seriously, the best jam I’ve ever eaten).

Saturday afternoon I want for a walk by the river. It was pretty nice to get outside after spending the morning studying for my NASM certification. Saturday night was spent with my boyfriend. We ordered delivery and watched some TV. Not very exciting, but the perfect night of relaxing and laying low.

My Sunday was spent doing some blog work (including finishing up this post), getting in some more studying, and doing some errands. And now onto today’s workout!

I decided to create a cardio workout. This 35 minute treadmill incline walking workout is perfect for days when you’re short on time but still want to get in a great workout. It includes a 5 minute warm up and a 5 minute cool down, so 35 minute is really all you need. The speed stays consistent at 4 miles per hour. The variable that changes and will get your heart pumping is the incline. It slowly increases until minute 22 when it peaks at 10%, and then slowly decreases again.

If you don’t want to run, or want a lower impact workout, this one is perfect. The change in incline will make you work hard and keep you breathing hard. As usual, make sure that you stretch after the workout.

As always, remember to check with a doctor before beginning to workout. Honor your body and modify this workout as needed.
