It’s already March – how did that happen? Before I know it it’ll be spring. I’m definitely looking forward to less snow and more green grass and leaves!
First off, I want to recap how my goals for February turned out.
Yoga once a week // I think I only did yoga twice in February. Definitely not as much as I would have liked, but February was also a pretty crazy month with school (2 midterms, 3 assignments, and trying to get in internship hours). I’d still like to incorporate more yoga into my workouts, so I’ll continue this goal for March.
Meal prep // I was pretty good at this goal. Forcing myself to look ahead and plan for busy days definitely helped me make healthier choices. It’s always seems like it’s those hectic days when I get the hungriest and it’s tough to make the good choices that I know I should be making. I also think that it ended up saving me some money, which is always a good thing on my student budget.
Finish reading my NASM textbook // I’m so close to having this done! I have a chapter and a half to go. It’s relatively easy reading now, I just have to make the time to actually do it.
And now my goals for March:
Yoga once a week // Like I mentioned above, I’d still like to incorporate yoga once a week into my workouts.
Start studying for my NASM certification // I’m planning on taking my exam in April when I have a bit of time off between semesters. I know I’m going to have to do a lot of studying to ace it, so I want to start studying early. Extra preparation means less stress closer to the exam date.
Plan for the future // I graduate school at the end of June. I’m love to work for myself, at least part time, so I’m already starting to figure out how to do that. The big thing I want to do is get started on the paperwork and legal stuff in creating my own business. I think part of the reason that I’ve been putting it off for so long is that it’s so intimidating for me. I’d like to at the very least get the ball rolling on that stuff.
What’s one thing you want to accomplish in March?
I hate when the month goes by so fast and you’re like whoops those goals are right out the window! Happens to me all the time.
It’s so easy to get caught up in every day things.
Starting your own business is very intimidating and it’s hard not to compare yourself to those that are already professionals in your field. If you really want it, you can make it happen! One of the most inspiring books I’ve read recently is the Magnolia Story by Chip and Joanna Gaines. If you need some motivation/inspiration, read that book!
Thanks for the book recommendation, I’ll check to see if my library has it!
