2016 on Get Fit Fiona

Like I mentioned in my post on Wednesday, I’ve been reflecting on 2016 lately. I thought it would be kind of fun to look back on the blog to see what’s happened as well. First off I wanted to share the top ten most read posts of 2016.

Jillian Michaels Killer Arms and Back DVD Review // Jillian Michaels Killer Body DVD Review // Jillian Michaels Beginner Shred DVD Review

I’m not surprised that a few of my reviews of Jillian Michaels DVD workouts are on the top ten list. They’ve always been popular on Pinterest for people checking out new workouts.

Yoga Terms For Beginners // Yoga Essentials

Yoga is still popular, as it has been over the last few years, so I wasn’t surprised to see these two posts on the top ten list. I think beginning any new fitness pursuit can be a little intimidating at first when you first start learning and doing it, so these two posts are perfect for anyone who’s new to yoga.

Barre 3 Online Workouts Review // Fit Fusion Review

Apparently I’m not the only one who sometimes has to workout at home. These two reviews are for online workouts which come in handy when life gets busy and you don’t have the time to make it to the gym. Although there’s no Barre 3 studios in Calgary, I hope they open one up at some point because I really liked their online classes.

Soccer Bag Essentials // University Essentials For A New Semester // Recipes Page

These last three posts are sort of a hodgepodge and don’t fit into the other categories above. The soccer bag essentials post is an older on on GFF that got some good traction on Pinterest. It’s actually one of my most popular posts on Pinterest.

The top five countries readers are from:

GFF Countries in 2016

My top referrers are google, Pinterest, and other healthy living bloggers. It’s a great community and I love connecting with other bloggers. The top social media referrer is Pinterest by far. I’m planning on putting more of an effort into Twitter and Instagram in 2017, and I’m looking forward to see if that makes a difference.

I’d love to hear some of your feedback on what you’d like to read about on Get Fit Fiona in 2017. I’ve been working on my editorial calendar for the first three months of 2017 and I have more fitness posts planned, as well as bringing back Weekly Workouts posts. What else would you like to see?

Are you a blogger? What was your top blog post of 2016? Any blogging goals for 2017?
