Happy Friday! It’s been a pretty low key week for me – which is actually kind of nice after finals last week. I only worked Monday and Tuesday, and the rest of the week was spent doing Christmas baking, blogging, and relaxing. I’m soaking up the down time right now because before I know it January and the new semester will be here and I’ll be back to work doing assignments and studying.
I don’t have any exciting plans for the weekend other than a date night with my boyfriend. I’ll probably be doing some more Christmas baking. I already have Chex mix, shortbread cookies, sugar cookies, and gingerbread cookies made. It feels good to have most of the baking done already though.
I ended up getting busy during November so I didn’t post a workout playlist. I’d like to think my December workout playlist will make up for not having one last month because I think it’s pretty awesome. This workout playlist definitely has mostly older songs on it.
Block Rocking Beats used to be a favorite song of mine back in university (15 years ago already!). I haven’t listened to it in forever so I knew I wanted to add it to this playlist. The same goes for Stand Up by Ludacris and Fatboy Slim’s Right Here Right Now – a few songs I enjoyed quite awhile ago, but I haven’t listened to lately.
With so many holiday events coming up and busy schedules getting ready for Christmas, it’s easy for me to let workouts fall by the wayside. But I find that if I have a great playlist that I’m looking forward to listening to, I’m more likely to make sure that I get my workout in. Making sure I have multiple playlists to choose from as well as fresh music is key for me when my motivation is low.

What a great playlist! I’ve been really into some Florida Georgia Line lately while I’ve been working out. The country pop style suits me, haha!
