Vichy Review

I’ve been using a few Vichy products that I was sent for a month or two now, so I wanted to share my thoughts with you about them.

First off, I received the products for free from chickadvisor.comΒ in exchange for an honest review. If you’re also Canadian I’d definitely recommend checking out their site for reviews on all kinds of things – from makeup to food to household products.

The Vichy Ideal Body Spa Shower Gel-Cream was better than I was expecting it to be. First off, it smells amazing. I sometimes avoid products that have a fragrance because they can irritate my sensitive skin. That didn’t happen with this shower gel though. And to be honest it was kind of nice to enjoy a product with a great smell. In addition it left my skin feeling clean and moisturized.

Again. because of my sensitive skin, I have to be careful about the kind of lip balm that I use. Typically anything plumping or lip balm that contains SPF will cause a reaction and my lips start to burn. Not fun. Understandably I was a bit skeptical when the Vichy Ideal Body Replumping Lip Balm was included in my box. Needless to say I was very happy when I tried it the first time and my lips felt fine! Although I didn’t notice any plumping effects from the lip balm, it did keep my lips feeling moisturized for several hours.

Since I live in Calgary where it’s very dry, I’m always using moisturizer. I found that the Vichy Ideal Body Milk was great at making my skin feel hydrated. Once again the fragrance didn’t bother my sensitive skin. The smell also wasn’t too overwhelming, which is great because I don’t want it to be too much and compete with my perfume. It also didn’t leave me feeling greasy.

Although all three of these products are generally more expensive than I would spend (I usually go for brands that I can find at the drugstore), I would definitely splurge on them if I found them on sale.
