I’m not going to lie, I’m glad this week is over. Not because it was long or terrible, but because I leave for vacation in Vancouver on Sunday! I’m flying out there because I’m going to the Adele concert on Wednesday night. It still hasn’t sunk in that I’m going to see her live. I’m feeling pretty thankful that I’ve had the opportunity to see U2 last year (read about the amazing concert here), and I get to see Adele next week. They’re both pretty spectacular bands/artists to see live, and definitely not something I thought I’d be able to do so soon since it’s incredibly hard to get tickets to both their concerts.

Vancouver

While I’m in Vancouver I’m planning on taking a day trip to Victoria, taking a walking tour of Gastown, and spending lots of time outside at the beaches. The last time I made sure to spend time by the water every single day. It was such a treat to get breakfast and then walk down to the ocean and just take in the views. Vancouver is a gorgeous city and I’m really looking forward to spending more time there.

Studying for my certifications is going well so far. Nothing is completely new, which is nice. I guess my first year of school has paid off already because my studying so far has been more of a review than leaning new material. In the next few weeks I’ll be writing a post on why I chose to do the NASM certification. I’m hoping it’ll be helpful for anyone else who’s considering it.

 Troll Falls Deer

I went on a hike with my dad on Wednesday morning in Kananaskis (it’s about an hour west of Calgary, not far from Banff). It was a cloudy and rainy day, but it was also a good thing because there weren’t many people out in the mountains. We hiked out to Troll Falls in the morning and then went to Canmore for lunch and walk around a bit. We came across this deer on the hike. She wasn’t at all concerned about us, and kept munching away on some grass while we took photos of her from the trail.

Do you have any exciting plans for the weekend?
