It's hard to believe that this is already the second week of July! I have a feeling that this summer is going to fly by.
If you're anything like me it's tougher to stay on track with routines over the summer. It's easier to sleep in, avoid doing things when I know I should, and generally not take life quite as seriously as I do the rest of the year. Unfortunately that tends to impact my morning workouts.
I'm one of those people who if my workout doesn't happen first thing in the morning, it's not likely to happen later on in the day. I don't know what it is, but if getting sweaty isn't my first priority and gets pushed down the list.
Luckily I have a few things up my sleeve that I can do to motivate myself. Along with making plans with a friend to workout, I find that a new playlist is sometimes exactly what I need to get myself going. Having fresh music that I haven't listened to a million times before gets my energy up. Today I'm sharing my summer workout playlist.
Shawn Mendes is all over the radio here, so I knew I had to add one of his songs. I hadn't heard Call on Me in quite awhile until I heard it online somewhere. It was stuck in my head for the rest of the day so I thought I'd add it in, even though it's a bit of an older song. Avicii and Calvin Harris songs always manage to get me pumped up, so I knew I had to make sure they were a part of the playlist as well.
I know I was super late on the whole Spotify thing, but if anyone isn't using it yet, you need to be! It's awesome for putting together playlists and even finding new music.
