After doing two presentations, a midterm, and two assignments over the last two and a half weeks, I was very glad that this week was a bit more low key. There was still lots of reading and notes to get done, but I felt like I was able to slow down a bit from the break neck speed I was going at. I know it’s going to get busy again mid-November with school, so I’m enjoying a lull in the homework while I can.
We’ve been spending some time in one of my classes talking about business stuff. Where do I want to work when I graduate? In a big box gym? Start my own business? Who do I want to work with? Athletes? Seniors? I was expecting it to be dry and boring, but I’ve really been enjoying it. It’s exciting to think about how I’ll be making money once I’m done school and certified. One day I’d love to work for myself. Will I be able to do that right away? Probably not, but I can definitely start planning and working towards making that happen right now.
Speaking of school, I wrote another article for the school newspaper. This one was about the rec facilities that are available in Calgary. I have to admit that after writing the article I’m pretty impressed with all the classes and amenities that are offered across the city. If you want to try out a new class or sport, you can probably find it somewhere in Calgary.
How is it already Halloween tomorrow? Seriously, fall is flying by. I managed to avoid buying any Halloween candy until today. It’s just too much temptation for me to have it in the house. Tell me I’m not the only one who can’t resist it. Unfortunately I don’t have any plans for tomorrow so I’ll probably end up staying home and giving out candy to trick-or-treaters. There have been some pretty awesome ones over the last few years, so I’m expecting a few good ones this Halloween too.
Lately I’ve been hearing about all kinds of awesome books. Everything from Brene Brown’s latest book, Rising Strong (affiliate link) to The Internet of Garbage by Sarah Jeong. I actually downloaded The Internet of Garbage but I haven’t gotten very far into it yet.

I agree with you…I can’t believe November is almost here. That is just absolutely crazy! Have a great weekend!
