It’s Sunday so that means it’s time for my Weekly Workouts post. I worked a lot this week, so that meant I didn’t have as much time as I thought I would to workout. I ended up relying on a few walks to get activity in. Sometimes life gets in the way and you have to do the best that you can despite your plans.
Sunday It was pretty nice out so I decided to go for a walk by the river. The crocus are blooming which makes it an extra pretty walk. I was out for about an hour and keep up a pretty good pace. I forget to set my app, so I don’t have any numbers for the exact time and distance.
Monday I wasn’t quite sure what workout I wanted to do, so I went with Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred (affiliate link). It was tough but quick and it gave me a boost of energy which was nice.
Tuesday I worked early, so I took a rest day.
Wednesday I was all about the sleep and pressed snooze one to many times to be able to fit in a workout before work. Whoops. It ended up being an unintentional rest day.
Thursday I worked early again on Thursday, so a morning workout was out. It was another gorgeous day out though, so I once again went for a walk after work. Although it was pretty windy, it was one of the warmest days we’ve had so far. I couldn’t not get outside and enjoy it.
Friday I picked up an extra early morning shift, so I took another rest day.
Saturday I did this upper body workout from Jen who blogs over at Peanut Butter Runner. My arms were burning by the time I was done. I have a board on Pinterest that has workouts on it that I find on my internet travels (you can check it out here). It’s kind of nice to have one spot where I can go to find a workout if I’m not feeling any inspiration on my own.
What was your favorite workout this week? Leave me a comment telling me about it.

I’m glad the weather is cooperating to give you an easy walking option for some of your workouts. I walk surprisingly little, almost all I do for exercise is skate. I’m planning to try to mix it up a little in the near future. This last week I was at Adult Nationals in skating so all my exercise was skating except for one evening where the skating association offered fitness testing for the athletes. We did various things to test agility, balance, strength, power, and flexibility. I skipped most of the strength and power stuff because I had to skate the next day, but I was psyched that I still have a full straddle split at my age (over 50)!
I hope I’m as active as you are when I’m your age!
It is always a shame when works gets in the way of our workouts! Congratulations on getting in what you could!
Haha, if only I was independently wealthy…..
