March Goals
My first goal last month was to workout 4 times/week. That didn’t happen unfortunately. I’m still trying to get my sleep back on track, so I’m not feeling very motivated to spend sleeping time working out. Last night I slept AMAZINGLY for the first time in weeks and weeks, so I’m hoping the sleeping problems are behind me. It’ll make it a whole lot easier to get in my morning workouts that way.
I also wanted to start logging my food in My Fitness Pal again. I was really good at doing it a few months ago. It was automatic for me to spend a minute or two putting in what I ate after every meal. It was great cause it kept me accountable and on track throughout the day. Throughout March I only did it a few times.
March Posts
I also wanted to highlight a few of my favorite March posts. I shared a recipe for an amazing pasta dish. My goat cheese spinach pasta was so good and pretty easy to make. Really, you can’t go wrong with anything that has goat cheese in it, right?
I’m all about making blogging as easy as possible. I discovered another awesome tool this month in the form of CoSchedule. If you’re a fellow blogger take a minute and check out my review. It saves me a ton of time and also ensures I share my posts on social media better.
I also wrote about my top reasons for you to try outdoor soccer. I’ve fallen in love with it over the last few years. Even though the first few games of every season are a little tougher than usual getting back into the swing of it, I’m so glad I discovered it. I’ve made some great friends and push myself to do better every game.
April Goals
Since I didn’t accomplish either goal for March, I thought I’d try to get them done in April. Now that it’s getting lighter outside earlier, I’m hoping that will be something that makes getting up early to do my workouts a little easier. I’m committing to getting in 4 workouts/week in April.
Using My Fitness Pal to log my food is something I want to make second nature again. It makes all the difference for me when I’m making decisions about what I’m going to eat. If I know I’m going to log it, I’ll most likely make the healthier decision.
Now that you know what I’m aiming for, leave me a comment with one of your goals for April.
I use My Fitness Pal and I absolutely love it! I use it mainly for the pie chart to make sure I am balancing my meals correctly. I find that it is easier to remember to log if you meal plan with the app. I will decide what to have for my meals each day, and will log the food before hand. This way, I don’t have to worry about forgetting to log afterwards :)
My April goal is to stop letting stress get in the way of living a happy life. I’m going to try and look at things more positively and deal with stress more effectively!
Best of luck to you and your April goals! :)
I really like the pie chart too – it makes balancing out my meals easier. I’ve never thought to log food before and then follow it the next day. I might have to try that.
Stress tends to creep in, no matter how careful you are. Good luck with your goal!
Goat cheese is my favorite!! Have you ever had the Honey goat cheese from Trader Joe’s? My favorite!
We don’t have Trader Joe’s here in Canada, though I’ve heard lots about them from other blogs. The next time I’m in the US I’ll have to check one out.
