WIAW 2015

As always, thanks to Jenn for hosting What I Ate Wednesday.

WIAW Breakfast March 4 2015

For breakfast I had my usual yogurt/cereal/fruit combination. This time I went with cherry yogurt, Oatmeal Crisp cereal, and an orange. I’m not going to lie, I’m sad that orange season is just about over now. I’ll have to wait another year for amazing oranges. However before I know it it’ll be summer and I’ll be eating all kinds of fresh veggies.

WIAW Lunch March 4 2015

Lunch was a chicken and vegetable curry that I picked up at the farmer’s market. It was delicious as usual. I’m not a big fan of spicy food, so I always go with the mild curry. By adding some rice to it I can get two meals out of the curry.

WIAW Dinner March 4 2015

I took advantage of the slow cooker and made a stew for dinner. I’m not a big stew fan but it was cold out and I was craving something warm, so it seemed like a good choice. There were lots of leftovers so I know what I’ll be having for lunch for the next few days.

Although I didn’t technically eat this today, I wanted admit that I finally tried a Larabar a few weeks ago and instantly fell in love. I’ve tried both cashew and chocolate chip, but cashew is definitely my favourite so far. The best part is that the cashew one has exactly two ingredients – dates and cashews. I think that’s pretty awesome. It’s a little sweet from the dates without being too sweet. And you can’t go wrong with cashews.

I’d gotten my first couple Larabars at Target, which is closing all of it’s locations in Canada. I went by yesterday after work to see if there were any left, but there weren’t. I had to go to a couple different grocery stores until I was able to find more of them. By the time I found them I decided I should stock up on them, so I ended up getting 8 of them.

What’s your favourite go to bar?

I like your plates! I am becoming obsessed with curry. We can’t have ours spicy (children and husband’s stomach can’t tolerate it). I will have to pass on some of the easy curry recipes we’ve done…including a curry stew.
