WIAW 2015

Thanks once again to Jen at Peas and Crayons for hosting What I Ate Wednesday.

WIAW Breakfast February 4 2015

For breakfast I ate some vanilla yogurt, a homemade whole wheat apple raisin muffin, and an orange. I got the recipe for the apple raisin muffins from Cassie of Back to Her Roots – you can find the recipe here. I know I feel like a broken record cause I keep saying this, but oranges are so amazingly delicious this time of year! I think I’ve bought oranges every time I’ve been to the grocery store the last couple weeks.

WIAW Lunch February 4 2015

Lunch was a pretty basic, but tasty salad. I started with a base of spinach and added some baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette. Lately I keep coming back to that same salad dressing. I haven’t had it in a long time, so maybe that’s why. I also had a handful of crackers after I finished eating the salad.

I ended up getting hungry mid way through the afternoon, so I grabbed an apple for a snack. I think it was because of the lack of protein in my salad. My go to apples are always Granny Smith. I love how crunchy and sour they are.

WIAW Dinner February 4 2015

I had a vegetable curry for dinner. It was the first time I’d ever had just veggies in a curry, but it ended up being pretty delicious. I was a bit worried it wouldn’t fill me up, but with the rice it turned out to be a great, filling meal. Usually I’m not a big fan of spicy food, but this had some kick to it and I still liked it. Then again maybe it was only spicy to me and other people wouldn’t think it was that bad.

Leave me a comment telling me if you like mild or spicy food.

It must be nice to like both spicy and mild.

It’s kind of nice that in our family my dad and brother like things spicy, whereas my mom and I don’t, but they can always add more spice to food if they want it.

I’m glad I’d not the only one who doesn’t like spicy food. Haha my brother calls me a wimp cause my definition of spicy and his are so far apart.

It’s funny cause I used to love spicy food as a kid, but I somehow outgrew it. My dad and my brother both love spicy food, but sometimes just smelling it is too much for me!
