If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that on Saturday I visited the Rad Wagon Diner food truck. They have all kinds of smoked meat deliciousness. Apparently the guy in line in front of us wasn’t aware of this (and didn’t see the menu next to him) because he tried to order a hot dog, haha.
It was so good! Not only did I get a sandwich, but it came with hash browns, coleslaw (so so great!), and pickles. Although it took a few minutes for them too cook up my order, it was so worth the wait. If you’re in Calgary you need to visit the Red Wagon Diner.
This week I’ve been working on a blogging related project. It’s just about done now. There’s been a lot of staining, varathaning, and sanding between coats. When I started I wasn’t quite sure how it would turn out, but I really like how it’s looking so far. Expect to see it in the next couple weeks on the blog.
The last time I stopped at the farmer’s market I picked up some vegan ginger chicken from Heart’s Choices (it’s actually made of soy). It was really good. Apparently I talked a lot about how much I liked it, because today my dad brought me some that he picked up for me at. It’s a different flavour, but I’m sure it’ll be just as delicious.
My mom and I had a sushi lunch this week. It had been awhile since I’d last had sushi, so when she suggested it, it didn’t take me very long to agree. We got two different vegetarian rolls – the green one above contains veggies and cream cheese, as well as a hot beef roll – the two at the top. We always end up ordering from Kinjo because they have a location close by and the sushi is always so good!
This morning I went to the Social Media Breakfast. I learned a lot from the different speakers. While I’ve only been to a few so far, I’ve found that it’s a great group of people. You should check it out if you’re in the Calgary area.
While we were there we kicked off YYC Pizza Week with some pizza for breakfast. Pizza Bob’s provided the pizza. He had he was up most of the night prepping so it would be ready to go this morning. If that’s not dedication, I don’t know what is!
