If you’re anything like me you love to browse Etsy. I’ve gotten a few awesome gifts for family and friends from sellers on Etsy. One of the coolest things I’ve bought was some moustache shot glasses for my brother for his birthday a few years ago. He has quite the liquor collection, so I knew he’d like them.
Saturday, September 27th, Etsy is putting on Made in Canada events. All across the country at 20 different locations, Etsy sellers will be setting up booths to sell their products. Click here for a list of locations (you have to scroll down to see them). Each market is organized by an Etsy seller locally, so it’s pretty cool to see a grassroots events taking place across Canada.
Calgary’s Made in Canada event will be held at the Symons Valley Farmer’s Market from 10 am to 5 pm. Not only do you get to check out some awesome Etsy sellers from the Calgary area, but the usual farmer’s market vendors will also be there. I also heard rumours of gift bags for the first 50 people.
I’ve bought and browsed from some of the Etsy artists who will be at the Made in Canada event in Calgary. If you go I know you’re going to be impressed with how awesome their products are. It looks like there’s going to be a great assortment of different products too – from photography to skincare. It’s pretty cool to check out how many talented people there are locally.
I’m pretty bummed that I’ll be in an all day workshop the day of Made in Canada, but luckily I can shop online before the event. Starting September 18th, you can visit Etsy and buy items that will be featured at the markets. Click here for the link.
Have you bought anything from Etsy? Do you go to markets that feature local artists/producers?
I love Etsy! When we were wedding planning earlier this year I got so many decorations and gifts from etsy!
Yeah, there’s lots of unique things on Etsy. You can find something for everyone.
Thanks for posting about the event! Sorry you won’t be able to make it, what a bummer!
I know, I’m disappointed I can’t go. Hopefully I’ll make it next year though!
I absolutely love Etsy! I got a car hey holder for my wall and also an engraved wooden piece of wall art. I wish this type of festival were happening near me!
SO many cool things from Etsy, although I’ve never bought anything personally. I can’t wait for this day to come!
