I “made” butter chicken this week – cause all I did was cook up the chicken and pour in the sauce – so I cheated. It still tasted delicious though. You can’t go wrong with Indian food.
Over the weekend we had a bunch of hail. The thunderstorm was pretty big. A couple times the house shook because the thunder was so loud.
Luckily I was at home when it happened. I’ve only been caught once in a hail while I was out in the car, but it was kind of scary. The garden pulled through mostly unscathed, though some leaves were torn off – though not as many as I was expecting.
I bought a big bag of cherries at the grocery store. I’ve been slowly (or not so slowly, they’re so good) eating them this week. I wish winter wasn’t so long here and we had fresh fruit more often.
I wrote my chem final on Tuesday. Tuesday night I celebrated with a new to me beer. I thought it would be great as I like some fruity beers, but I was kind of disappointed with it. Oh well, they can’t all be winners.
A couple weeks ago I ordered business cards for the blog. I’ve been going to more blog related things lately, so I thought having some I could give to people would be a good idea. I wasn’t sure what the quality would be like, but now that I have them I’m really impressed! They’re printed on high quality cardstock and the printing is really sharp. They were also really easy to design online. Check out moo.com (referral link) if you’re looking for some of your own.
I picked up a pack of Steam Whistle beer this week at the liquor store. It’s a Canadian pilsner and so delicious! If you’re looking for a new beer to try I’d definitely recommend this one. Plus the packaging is pretty cool.
I have two gift cards to go see movies, and I finally used one! I’ve been pretty focused on school lately, so I thought I’d treat myself. I wanted to see Tammy or The November Man. Tammy isn’t in theatres and more and The November Man hasn’t been released yet. So I ended up seeing Into the Storm. While the acting wasn’t all that great, the special effects for the storm scenes were pretty cool. One scene may have included a fire tornado. Not entirely believable, but fun to watch.
