Thanks to Jenn once again for hosting.
Breakfast was my usual cereal, yogurt (vanilla this time), and fruit (apple sauce). I also had a glass of water. Usually I’m still half asleep when I’m making breakfast, so I tend to stick to the same, easy things.
Lunch was a pita sandwich. Inside was chicken lunch meat, tomato, lettuce, hummus, and mozzarella cheese. I’m really enjoying putting hummus in sandwiches instead of mayo. I also had some potato salad to go with it.
Dinner was a pretty basic salad. I wasn’t feeling very energetic, so it wasn’t very fancy. It had romaine lettuce, carrots, croutons, and Italian salad dressing. I also had a handful of crackers to round out the meal.
What’s your go-to breakfast?
I’ve done the same thing coming home from work. Sometimes you aren’t feeling that exciting or wanting to cook anything extravagant (which for me is 99.9% of the time). I love pita bread, I eat it for a lot of lunches.
It’s definitely nice to have quick and easy options at the end of the day. If I don’t have those kinds of healthy choices around I usually end up making bad decisions and eat stuff I know I probably shouldn’t.
It’s nice to switch it up sometimes in terms of bread – pitas and wraps are probably my favorite alternatives.
