There have been some changes happening over here at Get Fit Fiona. (If you read through Feedly I’ve love for you to click through and let me know what you think.) I’ve been working on little things, but they’re slowly adding up to some awesomeness.

See the new header? I made it myself! I was getting tired of the photo I had there and thought I’d take the plunge and try to make a header myself. I think it turned out pretty good for my first try. It was actually surprisingly easy to make with Picasa.

I’ve also added some social media icons to the sidebar so it’s easier to connect with me on social media. I’m not sure why it took me so long to add them, but it was really easy using a plugin. Now instead of having to go to the Contact Me page, you can follow me straight from the homepage.

I also updated the hiking page with some new photos, as I thought that page could do with a bit of an update. Spending time looking at all those photos makes me miss hiking a lot (I haven’t been to the mountains since last summer), so I think I hike might be happening sooner rather than later.

I’ve also decided to start advertising with Passionfruit. If you’re a blogger or small business owner, check out my Sponsor Me page. Emily over at Fit and Free Emily designed a couple ads for me. I was pretty excited when I got the email with them in it. If you advertise with Passionfruit leave me a comment and let me know – I’m looking for blogs to advertise on.

It’s hard to believe cause it’s gone by so fast, but I’ve been blogging here at Get Fit Fiona for over two and a half years already. It’s changed quite a bit since I first started. It’s kind of fun to go back in the archives once in awhile and see the difference. Since I’ve learned so much since then I thought I’d start doing some “blogging tips” posts once or twice a month. I would have loved it if someone had told me about Picasa or Live Writer when I’d first started blogging. So if you have anything you’d like to learn about when it comes to blogging, let me know.
